Basic colposcopy course 2026

The course will be held in English with distinguished international and Finnish speakers in collaboration with the Finnish colposcopy society and NordColp (Nordic colposcopy society).

Time: 21st - 23rd January, Helsinki, Finland

Location: Our course venue is Helsinki Congress Paasitorni located in Siltasaari, right next to Hakaniemi market place and old market hall.

How to get there: We recommend arriving at Paasitorni by public transportation. Many bus and tram lines run through Hakaniemi, and there is a metro station as well. The Central Railway Station is roughly a kilometre away, a distance easily covered also on foot. There is a direct train from Helsinki Airport to the Central Railway Station. Hotel Scandic Paasi is situated in the same street block with the congress centre.

Public transport is a great way to get around the capital region. You can use the same public transport ticket for trams, buses, the Metro, commuter trains, light rail, and the Suomenlinna ferry. We recommend purchasing an ABC day ticket via the HSL app. This ticket not only gets you from the airport to the city center but also allows you to travel within Helsinki. 
Contactless payment is a fast and easy way to purchase adult single tickets. Simply select the zones and show your debit/credit card to the reader. The ticket wil be stored on your card, and you can board. More information hsl.fi/en. 

On your free time we encourage you to explore Helsinki. The face of the capitol area is very different now during winter time compared to summer. Tips for travellers can be found in myhelsinki.fi. Don’t hesitate to ask also course organizers should you have any questions.

Registration: Registration desk on 3rd floor will be open every day from 8:30 until 9:00 and during brakes. Other times organizers can be contacted by phone. When registrating you will receive a name badge which will also show you the group you are divided in to for the group work sessions. You should also wear name badge during lunch brakes. 

Lunch and coffee: Lunch and coffee are included in the course. Lunch will be served as a buffet in the restaurant. Coffee is served in the exhibition area. Should you have any dietary requirements or allergies, please inform us latest on 6th of January 2026!

Exhibition: We are delighted to welcome our industrial sponsors in the exhibition area located right next to the main hall on 3rd floor. Course participants will receive a sponsor passport. Collect stamps on all exhibition stands and take part in a raft where you can win a nice price!

Social program fullybooked

Sauna: Enjoy Finnish sauna with us in Löylykontti in Sörnäinen area on Thursday 22nd of January! The most daring ones are also able to swim in the frozen Baltic sea. There is short 1.3 km walk from Hotel Scandic Paasi. You can also take buss number 55 which will take you from Hakaniemi right next to Löylykontti. Please bring your own towel and swimming suit. There will be two saunas, one mixed and one for ladies only. Saunas are reserved for us from 17:00 until 18:00.

Dinner: Dinner on Thursday 22nd of January at 18:30 o’clock. Restaurant Kirsikka is located on 2nd floor of the old Hakaniemi Market Hall situated close to the course venue.

Price: 60 euros. Includes your chosen activity, dinner and one drink.
